Jumpin on the Road

Sorry, was I missed?

Mon Nov 7, 2005, 12:14 AM
Sorry I haven't been on recently to post that newfangled journal and post those pics I've been wanting to. Life just seemed to get the better of me recently, so I've been kind of busy. I will be moving into a new place tomorrow, no electricity or internet yet, so I'll be away from my adoring fans for quite some time. Whether or not my roomie and I decide to get cable and internet service has yet to be decided, so expect this to be my last post in a loooong time. Hope you are all well, and I hope to be back soon!

Well I was surfing this waking night, and I stumbled across an old (almsot a year) yet apparently still talked about journal thread topic. It was like fuel for the age-old argument uproar engine. The topic was about marriage, and what exactly was an abomination of it. I scrolled through all the comments and noticed you posted a few. I read them, and I want to give you a pat on the back and say I couldn't agree more with you in this area. Just the other day I was talking to a friend, and we looked in the Bible together and saw it was utter sin to engage in homosexual activity, yet quite alright to promise a man a daughter in return for seven years' labor, give him the other, less pretty daughter, but after another seven years give him the other one as well. Yes... that makes so much sense to me. :sarcasm:

Just saying I agree with you and saying thanks. If it weren't for people like you who stand up for human rights, and keeping things sensible, the world, not to mention the biggotted, would perish.

Right right, I think I remember that homosexuality thread. I got that from somewhere, some urban legend site and I thought hey, this is kind of humorous, but it's actually pretty on the spot too...I mean what, we've got a merciful God that forgives murder and rape, but having a proclivity towards the same sex is wrong? One of the things God gave us as a gift was choice.....free will. And like I think you quoted before, "Let ye without sin be the first to cast stones...." I mean, if you're a guy and you like guys, that's fine as long as you respect the fact that I'm straight. If a person doesn't respect that, then we've got a problem.
:iconredpandapiratess:
Quite true. As long as there is civility in everything.. I think the main reason homosexuality was condemned during the Bible years was because the rich and frivolous would have boy-toys by the dozens and such.

And respecting boundaries is also an important thing. Some people will wave things in people's faces or taunt them. It's almost like a heterophobia. But an issue I learned about the hard way was a huge label being slammed on the foreheads of homosexuals. Just because once I had a girlfriend at one time (these are the experimental years...) now means I'm the tough dike to have things poked at me like I'm not real or something. It was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.. I lost friends and people's trust.

Dude... I am so sorry it's taken me practically a month to thank you for the comment on Mucha Babe. Thanks so much for showing my work to a friend - wish you coulda seen me turn red! While I'm not selling any sculptures soon, I am selling prints via my website. This would include the picture of the Raven Thief (my featured dev), Magpie, Tea Room at Dawn, etc. If you do want a print, drop me a line. ^___^ *points to her rucksack full of oil paints* I haven't forgotten you, btw. Can you send me a list of your poems you'd like me to look at?

Thanks for the comments, 'specially about the animation. I;m glad to hear you appreciate the hard work. :boogie:

Have you thought about what you might like for your gift art? If you like, I could illustrate a poem of your choice. No hurry though!
